To enable your browser to accept cookies, click your browser in the list below and follow the instructions.
Note: When cookies first appeared they were regarded with a great deal of suspicion, but they are actually very safe - they are not viruses, worms or any other type of 'malware', so you can feel perfectly safe in allowing your browser to accept them.
Find the Tools menu: in IE6 it's in the menu bar at the top of the window, between Favorites and Help; in IE7 it's at the right hand end of the toolbar, just below the Live Search box.
Select Internet Options, at the bottom of the Tools menu.
Select the Privacy tab.
Click the Advanced button in the middle of the window.
Turn on Override automatic cookie handling.
Click Accept under both First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies.
Click the AOL Settings icon near the top of the window.
AOL 8:
Select Preferences from the menu that appears.
Click the By Category tab.
Find Internet in the listings.
AOL 9:
In the Essentials section, click Internet [Web] Options.
Follow steps 3 to 7 for Internet Explorer, above.
Click OK.
Click Apply, then OK again.
Exit AOL and restart your computer (don't skip this step!)
If this doesn't work for you in AOL's own browser, minimise the window and use another browser - ideally not Internet Explorer but, say, Firefox or Opera.
