Lontano develops, performs and records New Serious music, Latin American Classical Music and works by Women Composers. We also deliver a thriving community education programme in our home borough of Waltham Forest. Funded from charitable sources, we seek a fundraiser for 2 years to work with Artistic Director.

Candidates will be experienced in fundraising, sympathetic to our goals and well connected to funding sources.

Job Description

Flexible working hours totalling 10 hours per week. The job will be driven by outcomes rather than processes. This is not a research post, although some research will be involved. This job is about delivering the outcomes listed below.

I: Outcomes

The outcome of this job will be to develop new funding sources that will enable us to raise an additional 85K per annum. This includes commercial sponsorship and additional charities that are not already patrons.

II: Exchanges with Artistic Director

Exchange with the Artistic Director can be mostly via email. It must include at least one monthly meeting at the office in Walthamstow and one monthly report.

III: Work Environment

The successful candidate can work largely from home, setting their own hours (in consultation with the Artistic Director) to suit other commitments. Whenever needed they will have the use of our office in Walthamstow which is fully IT equipped.
We have a large existing database of funding charities, but are interested in developing new sources.

IV: Existing Funders

The Artistic Director will be looking after applications to existing funders.

V: Terms of employment

This is a freelance post. Invoices for the postholder's services should be presented monthly and will be settled within 14 days of presentation.

VI: Remuneration

The rate of pay is £14 an hour for a 10 hour week or £7,000 a year, equivalent pro rata to £25,480 for a 35 hour week.
